Located in parts of the Southeast and far Northeast quadrants of the District of Columbia, Ward 7 is composed of many distinct neighborhoods. Mostly residential, Ward 7 embodies historical and cultural gems.
Points of interest include the Washington Tennis and Education Foundation Center; the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy, the Ft. Dupont Ice Arena, Deanwood Heritage Trail; Fort Dupont Park, where the National Park Service holds its annual outdoor summer concert series; the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens; Marvin Gaye Park; and Kingman Island, home of our D.C. United Soccer Team at RFK Stadium.
Ward 7 is surrounded by the Anacostia River on the west, Prince George’s County, Maryland on the north and east and Ward 8 on the south. Some of the oldest communities in the District are in Ward 7, including Deanwood and Kenilworth.
