March is National Kidney Month and Councilmember Yvette M. Alexander is inviting you to join her this Saturday, March 12, at Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church, 3000 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, for free kidney health screenings and an information session on kidney health.
The event is in collaboration with the George Washington University Ron and Joy Paul Kidney Center and the National Kidney Foundation. Vital information will be provided to members of the community about kidney disease and the importance of getting screened.
Guest speakers will include Councilmember Alexander, Chair of the Committee on Health and Human Services, Rev. Kendrick E. Curry, Pastor of Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church, Keith Melancon, M.D., Chief, Division of Transplant Surgery, and more. The event will take place from noon until 4:00 PM.
